Pretty Little Liars: Why are we STILL lying!?

I haven't talked about Pretty Little Liars since its return for a couple of reasons. First - Caleb's not really angsty anymore. He's got a lovely little relationship with his mom and he's pretty much always angry at Hanna. That seems to be his life.

The thing that's been driving me crazy is that the liars keep lying but their justifications are becoming weaker and weaker. There was no reason to hide the fact that Emily ended up at that empty grave. Apart from being an incredibly unlikely scenario in the first place (this new A planned on Emily getting hammered enough to - what - kidnap her? Without the rest of them noticing?)  a team of detectives wouldn't have had to do much detecting to figure out they weren't the grave robbers. Like - they don't have the body for starters. And grave robbers usually don't notify the authorities about freshly robbed graves. It just makes the girls seem stupid to have them keep making themselves look guilty with unnecessary lies. They're like A-ing themselves.

Which brings me back to Caleb. Why isn't Hanna being honest with him? Even if her fear is that A will harm Caleb or his mom (or whatever...) they're better off being warned. Clearly A is wiling to run people off the road either which way. May as well alert the town that there's a psycho on the loose and it's NOT THEM.

Whatevs. Sherlock this is not and never has been. It's not like I ever watched for the tantalizing mystery. I watch because there's not a lot of television in the summer and sometimes this show has attractive males. And I do (or I used to) like Caleb and Hanna together. But I feel like Hanna is turning into a cartoon and it's just annoying.

Also, I like Wren but he did not look good in this scene ^^ I tried really hard for a decent screen cap, but in the end, I just decided it's a good thing he's got the accent to fall back on.

And Jason was back. With his nutzo 90s hair still in place. It's nice that some things never change. If only he and Spencer weren't related, I'd be voting for a hookup. Basically anyone but Toby (who didn't make an appearance in the last episode. Score!) PLL isn't back until next week. Maybe things will suddenly be more logical then.
